Tioga County Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — Winter sports practices begin today, there are still two teams, and an Owego diver still competing in the fall postseason.
There are just three events on this week's docket:
FRIDAY (1)• Owego sophomore Ayla Young will compete at the New York State Girls Diving Championships at the Webster Aquatic Center.
SATURDAY (2)• Candor begins defense of its New York State Class D volleyball championships in semi-final pool play. The top two advance to Sunday's championship match.
• Owego opens play in the New York State football playoffs, "hosting"
Section III champion New Hartford in the Class D quarterfinals at 3 p.m.
at Vestal High School.
