Tioga County Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — Winter sports practices begin today, there are still two teams, and an Owego diver still competing in the fall postseason.
There are just three events on this week's docket:
FRIDAY (1)
• Owego sophomore Ayla Young will compete at the New York State Girls Diving Championships at the Webster Aquatic Center.
SATURDAY (2)
• Candor begins defense of its New York State Class D volleyball championships in semi-final pool play. The top two advance to Sunday's championship match.
• Owego opens play in the New York State football playoffs, "hosting"
Section III champion New Hartford in the Class D quarterfinals at 3 p.m.
at Vestal High School.
