IAC BOYS SOCCER: NOTRE DAME HOLDS OFF SVEC, 4-2 (14 PHOTOS) (2025-10-02)
Tioga County Sports ReportCANDOR — Notre Dame jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead, and held on for a 4-2 win over SVEC here Thursday afternoon in IAC South Large School Division boys soccer action at Candor High School.
Davi Valente netted a hat trick in the first half to put the Crusaders up 3-0 at the intermission.
Xavier Beach scored a pair of goals for the Eagles in the second half — one off an assist from Kyle Jantz and Brennan Zimmer, but Valente tacked on his fourth goal for Notre Dame.
Matt
Keough, Tate Nanda, and Anthony Barkley each had one assist for the Crusaders.
Notre Dame had a 16-8 advantage in shots-on-goal, and a 9-3 edge in corner kicks.
Zimmer recorded nine saves in net for the Eagles.
SVEC, now 6-5, returns to action Tuesday at Union Springs.
