TIOGA COUNTY — A pair of SVEC wrestlers will compete in the first-ever New York State Girls Wrestling Championships at the MVP Arena in Albany, while the top bowlers from Section IV converge on the Valley Bowling Center in Waverly for the Boys Bowling Championships.
GIRLS WRESTLING
New York State Championships, 10 a.m. @ MVP Arena, Albany: SVEC junior Tayah Beach and sophomore Dallas Bohling make history today at the inaugural NYSPHSAA girls wrestling championships.
Tioga senior Kali Bailey and Waverly's Elona Holmes will also compete today.
BOYS BOWLING
Section IV State Qualifier, 9 a.m. @ Valley Bowling Center: Owego will be in the mix for the berth to the Division 2 State Championships, but will face stiff competition from Waverly, the STAC champ and Section IV, Class C champ and Maine-Endwell.
