Tioga County Sports ReportOWEGO — The Owego boys and girls are both the fifth seeds in their respective Section IV, Class A tournaments, and will be on the road next weekend.
BOYS
The River Hawks (13-7) will travel to fourth-seeded Oneonta (14-3) in the quarterfinals on Feb. 28 for a 6 p.m. tip time.
The winner will travel to face top-seeded Seton Catholic (16-2) on March 4.
At the bottom of the bracket, second-seeded Maine-Endwell (12-6) hosts seventh-seeded Chenango Valley (10-10), while third-seeded Norwich (14-6) and sixth-seeded Windsor (9-9).
The Class A Championship game is set for March 9 at 11:45 a.m. at the Vision Memorial Arena in Binghamton.
GIRLS
The Lady River Hawks (9-10) will also travel to Oneonta (10-9) on March 1 for a quarter-final match-up at 6 p.m.
The winner will travel to top-seeded Johnson City (16-2) for a semi-final contest.
In the bottom of the bracket, second-seeded Chenango Valley (11-7) will host third-seeded Norwich (10-7) in the semifinals on March 5 at 6 p.m.
The Class A Championship game is set for March 9 at 10 a.m. at the Vision Memorial Arena in Binghamton.
