SECTION IV BASKETBALL: CANDOR BOYS, GIRLS WILL OPEN CLASS C PLAYOFFS AT HOME (2025-02-20)

CANDOR — The Candor boys and girls will both open their respective Section IV, Class C basketball playoffs with home games early next week.

BOYS
The Coyotes (14-5) are the sixth seed, and will host 11th-seeded Bainbridge-Guilford (11-9) Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the opening round of the Class C playoffs.

The winner will face the winner of the game between third-seeded Trumansburg (13-6) and 14th-seeded Richfield Springs-ODY (8-11) on Feb. 28 at the highest seed's home floor.

Delhi (15-4) is the second seed, and will host the winner of the game between seventh-seeded Union Spring (15-5) and 10th-seeded Oxford (11-7) on Feb. 28.

At the top of the bracket, defending state champ Moravia (16-1) is the top seed, Newfield (13-3) is the fourth seed, and Notre Dame (10-8) is the fifth seed.

The Class C finals will be held March 8 at 4 p.m. at Tompkins-Cortland Community College.

GIRLS
Candor (14-5) is the seventh seed and will host 10th-seeded Delhi (11-7) Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the opening round of the Class C playoffs.

The winner will travel to second-seeded Greene (15-2) on March 1 for a quarter-final contest.

At the top of the bracket, Newark Valley (16-4) is the top seed, Notre Dame (12-7) is the fourth seed, and Unatego (13-4) is the fifth seed.

The Class C finals will be held March 8 at 2 p.m. at Tompkins-Cortland Community College.
