Tioga County Sports Report
WINDSOR — With its lone veteran wrestler sidelined by injury, Owego took a very “green” team to the inaugural Windsor Lady Knights Invitational here Monday.

Six River Hawks, all first-year members of the squad, competed. Three-time Section IV champion RaeAnn Craft, a junior who started competing for Owego’s boys team as an 8th-grader, suffered a shoulder injury at the Southern Tier Memorial on Jan. 12 and appears to be out for the remainder of the season.

Michaela Daly, making her River Hawk debut this season as an 8th-grader, recorded the team’s only win, pinning Madison Stoddard of Chenango Forks in 1:22. She finished the tournament with a 1-2 record.

Also competing for Owego were Kaylie Cole (100), Carissa Chandler (126), Mikanna Wilbur (132), Tatum Kowalski (138) and Haditha Hussain Ali (152).

The River Hawks compete in the STAC championships Friday at Johnson City.
