Tioga County Sports ReportELMIRA — Owego junior RaeAnn Craft finished second here Saturday in the 126-pound bracket of the Southern Tier Memorial Girls Wrestling Tournament at the LeCom Events Center.
Craft opened her day with a 10-0 technical fall win over Niagara-Wheatfield's Jordyn Wade, then scored a 16-6 technical fall win. Over Sherburne-Earlville's Gabriella Naylor in the quarterfinals.
In the semifinals, Craft registered another technical fall, this time blanking West Genesee's Riley Butler, 10-0.
In the finals, Craft dropped a hard-fought, 8-5, decision to Groton's Camren Bishop.
Owego's only other wrestler, junior Callie Deming, was 0-2 in the 120-pound bracket.
