TIOGA COUNTY — Owego junior RaeAnn Craft won an individual title in her first extended action of the season at the Stenglein-Davis Tournament, and Newark Valley junior Titus Callahan duplicated the feat at the Stan Elisky Lumberjack Tournament. They are the TCSR / Guthrie Community Credit Union "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Jan. 4.
OWEGO'S CRAFT NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Craft, who had just one match this season heading into the tournament, went 5-0 to win the 126-pound A pool title.
Craft was 3-0 in pool play — all via falls, including two first-period pins.
In the semifinals and finals, Craft scored identical 10-0 technical fall wins.

NEWARK VALLEY'S CALLAHAN NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Callahan, a returning state qualifier, was 4-0 to win the 190-pound title at the Elisky Tournament.
Callahan won his first two match via first-period falls.
In the semifinals and finals, Callahan pulled out 8-7 win over M-E''s Lazio Jellick, and M-E's Logan McGuire.
