IAC BOWLING: CANDOR GIRLS SWEEP GROTON; BOYS WIN 3-1 (2025-01-06)

GROTON — The Candor girls swept short-handed Groton here Monday afternoon at Memory Lanes, while the Candor boys earned a 3-1 in in IAC Small School bowling action.

BOYS
Candor 3, Groton 1

Kody Floyd rolled a 600 series to lead Candor to a 3-1 win over Groton.

The Coyotes won the first game 825-696, and the third game 916-789 for a total-pinfall win of 2,509 to 2,289. The Red Hawks won the second game 804-768.

Floyd shot a 624 series on games of 174, 239, and 211 to pace the Coyotes, while Tyler Dunham rolled a 566, including a 242 in the third game, and Stanley Winnick had a 501.

Malcolm Jackson had a 426 series in the win, while William Sizer added a 392, and Gavin Wood tacked on a 242.

Elijah Brehm led Groton with a 517 series.

GIRLS
Candor 4, Groton 0

Kaitlin Floyd led Candor to a sweep and a total-pinfall win of 2,155 to 1,421 over the short-handed Groton team, which had four bowlers.

Floyd rolled a 504, while Calli Marsh shot a 491, and Kristin Baker had a 471.

Makenna Nixon had a 353 for the Coyotes, while Jennarose Reagan added a 336, and Raina Schneider-Kern tacked on a 282.

Madelyn Pitts led Groton with a 382 series.

Candor returns to action Tuesday at Newark Valley.
