Tioga County Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — Owego senior Vasil Brich led the undefeated boys soccer team to a STAC Championship, and his classmate Lexi Herceg led the unbeaten River Hawks volleyball team into the STAC finals. They are the Tioga County Sports Report / Guthrie Community Credit Union "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Oct. 26.
OWEGO'S BRICH NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Brich scored four goals to lead Owego to wins over Ithaca in the STAC finals, and Johnson City in the semifinals of the Section IV, Class A playoffs.
Brich scored two goals in a 4-1 win over Ithaca, and two goals in a 7-0 win over Johnson City.

Herceg averaged 35 setter assists in wins over Waverly and Oneonta.
Herceg had three aces, and 20 setter assists in a sweep of Waverly in the regular-season finale. She followed that up with 50 assists to go with two blocks and one kill in five-set win over Oneonta in the STAC semifinals.
