Tioga County Sports ReportELMIRA — Facing some of the craziest weather conditions you’ll find on the golf course the Owego River Hawks had three golfers take part in the STAC Championships at Mark Twain.
On a day when it was sunny, rainy and then later in the round the golfers had to deal with enough hail to cover the greens and turn them white, causing a short delay in the round.
Jacob Bensley shot an 85 for Owego and Duke Snyder shot a 90, while Mason Grippen shot a round of 102.
The round for Bensley put him in the top 20 on the day.
