Tioga County Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — Four more Tioga County teams make their 2024 debut Thursday, including Owego boys soccer and Newark Valley field hockey, which have home matches.
BOYS SOCCER
Susquehanna Valley at Owego, 7 p.m.: The River Hawks are coming off a Section IV, Class A championship, and will open against a Susquehanna Valley team that reached the Class B title tilt.
FIELD HOCKEY
Vestal at Newark Valley, 4:30 p.m.: The Cardinals will open the season against the defending Section IV, Class B champion Vestal, which was 16-2 in 2023.
VOLLEYBALL
Owego at Susquehanna Valley, 5:30 p.m. JV start: The River Hawks are coming off a Section IV, Class A championship, and will open against a Sabers team that finished 11-5 in 2023.
GIRLS SWIMMING
Owego at Windsor, 5:30 p.m.: The River Hawks open the season on the road at Windsor.
