Corning’s Delaney Abel was a Section IV runner-up, and top-25 finisher at the New York State Championships. She headlines The Sports Reports’ 2023-24 Girls’ Golf Super 7 as the "Player of the Year."
Abel averaged 40 for nine holes and was 25th at states. She is just an 8th-grader.
The “Newcomer of the Year” is Notre Dame’s Emma Steed. She averaged 56.6 for nine holes this year and just missed qualifying for States.

Ava Fairbrother, Horseheads: Fairbrother averaged 47 for nine holes.
Olivia Hatch, Horseheads: Hatch averaged 49.4 for nine holes.
Mady Weigand, Horseheads: Weigand averaged 47.8 for nine holes, and was a state qualifier.
Evelyn Wheeler, Notre Dame: Wheeler averaged 42.2 for nine holes. She became the first state qualifier for girls’ golf in Notre Dame school history.
Breanne Robinson, Waverly: Robinson averaged 47.3 for nine holes.
Lauren Gillette, SVE: Gillette averaged 49.3 for nine holes.
Hannalee Cleveland, Wellsboro: Cleveland had a scoring average of 93.44 for 18 holes. She placed 14th in the NTL and fourth at the District 4 girls’ golf championships.
