Tioga County Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — The STAC baseball semifinals take center stage today as Owego attempts to win a league title.
BASEBALL
Owego vs. Horseheads at Maine-Endwell, 11 a.m.: Horseheads is 15-1 and comes in riding a 14-game winning streak while Owego is 15-2.
The Blue Raiders won the previous meeting between the two, 9-3, in the 2022 STAC semis.
The winner plays either Oneonta or Vestal Monday in the championship game.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Owego (7-7) at Seton Catholic (2-11), noon: The River Hawks look to close out the regular season with a winning record.
Owego won their previous meeting, 21-7.
TRACK & FIELD
Newark Valley, Owego at Parkhurst invitational, noon: The cardinals and River Hawks head to Union-Endicott for the annual invite which will include 17 teams.
