Tioga County Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — The preliminaries for the Section IV Class B Boys Swimming & Diving Championships and a meeting between the Candor and Spencer-Van Etten girls basketball teams to decide the IAC South Small School champion highlight the schedule.
BOYS SWIMMING
Magavin Allen leads the River Hawk swimmers to the Maine-Endwell pool as they vie for spots in Saturday's finals. Competition begins at 5 pm.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
S-VE hosts the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. to determine who plays in the IAC Small School championship Friday night.
JV GIRLS BASKETBALL
Two other basketball games of note are for the IAC JV girls championships.
S-VE hosts Marathon for the IAC Small School crown while Newark Valley hosts Whitney Point for the IAC Large School title. Both games begin at 6 p.m.
