Tioga County Sports ReportNEWARK VALLEY — Newark Valley reclaimed the top spot in the Co-ed division at the IAC Cheerleading Championships Monday evening.
The Cardinals regained the title from Edison, which won last year's competition. NV scored 69.3 points to Edison’s 63.9.
Dryden won the Girls division with 58.8 points over Marathon, which had 38.7.
The Cardinals posted the top overall score as well.
NV will advance to the Section IV championships, where it placed third in 2023.
This marked the 48th year the IAC has held a cheerleading championship event.
