
VESTAL — The Owego bowling teams competed in the STAC Preseason Tournament Saturday with the boys placing fifth and the girls taking sixth.
BOYS
The River Hawks rolled a 2907 series and were just 95 pins out of third place. They posted a high game of 1048.
Corning was the top team with a 3277 series, followed by Maine-Endwell with a 3172, Union-Endicott at 3002, Johnson City with a 2992 and Owego.
The River Hawks’ Evan O’Hara matched Corning’s Cameron Kennedy for high game, scoring a 280. O’Hara placed fifth in the 74 bowler field with a 702 series. Kennedy won with a 784.
Owego’s Will Waldron finished 13th with a 623 and Connor Kotski tallied a 600 series to take 18th. Devan Card had a 509 and Grayden Stanton added a 473.
GIRLS
M-E won the team title with a 2789, followed by U-E (2535), Windsor (2245), Susquehanna Valley (2186), Vestal (1926 and Owego (1895).
Elizabeth Reigle placed 22nd with a 446 series and Haley Stephens was 26th with a 422. Elaina Anschutz had a 358, Izzy Taylor a 347 and Izzy Coveney a 322. There were 40 competitors.
