
CANDOR — The Candor JV volleyball team held onto the top spot in the IAC Small School race, improving to 6-0 in the division with a 2-0 win over S-VE Wednesday.
The Coyotes won by scores of 25-19 and 25-16. S-VE took the exhibition third game, 25-18.
Malley Heidl paced Candor with nine points, which included seven aces, and three assists. Emmie McCracken contributed four kills.
Andralyn Wallace recorded eight points (3 aces), eight digs and five kills for S-VE (4-2 in the division, 6-3 overall); Trinity Dashley had four kills and a dig; Reece Hickey chipped in with three points (2 aces); Amani Diboun added eight digs and one kill; Kelci Wright had three digs; and Eighmee Slusser pitched in with three points, two kills and a dig.
Vivienne Secondo had four kills, four digs and an assist; Emma Neish had two points (1 ace), a kill and three digs; Elizabeth Ortolaza added one point; and Kelsea Swayze registered six points (4 aces), a kill, a dig, and she handed out 14 assists).
