OWEGO — Aiden Granger’s penalty kick with 21 minutes remaining to carry Chenango Valley to a 4-3 victory over Owego in STAC boys soccer Tuesday.
Granger finished with a hat trick as the Warriors improved to 6-2 on the season.
Matt Higgins recorded a goal and an assist for the River Hawks.
Zach Beyer and Vasil Brich accounted for the team’s other goals while Zyir Van Scoy and Bryce Oliver contributed assists.
It was the third straight loss for Owego (3-5) which visits Oneonta Thursday.
The Hawks fell to Seton Catholic (9-1), ranked third in Class C, 6-1 on Sept. 16 and 2-0 last Thursday to Chenango Forks (7-1), ranked fourth in Class B.
