
TIOGA COUNTY — SVEC boys soccer puts its game up against a resurgent Tioga program while the Owego and Chenango Valley girls soccer teams square off in a battle of the teams who have played in the last two Section IV Class B championship games.
BOYS SOCCER
Newark Valley (2-5) at Odessa-Montour (0-9), 5 p.m.: The Cardinals are coming off a 7-1 victory over Newfield and 4-1 win against Watkins Glen.
SVEC (6-2) at Tioga (6-2-2), 4:30 p.m.: The Eagles have won two straight and their last three wins were shutouts. The Tigers have dropped two straight, both against quality opponents.
FIELD HOCKEY
Vestal (6-1) at Newark Valley (0-8), 4:30 p.m.: The defending state champion Golden Bears are ranked 13th in the latest Northeast Region poll by maxfieldhockey.com.
GIRLS SOCCER
Owego (8-0) at Chenango Valley (5-1), 4:30 p.m.: The River Hawks have surrendered just three goals all season, two coming in a 6-2 win against defending Section IV champion CV.
SVEC (1-6) at Lansing (7-0), 7 p.m.: The Eagles are coming off a 9-0 win over Whitney Point.
GIRLS TENNIS
Owego (0-9) at Chenango Valley (7-1), 4:30 p.m.: The River Hawks continue the season with a three-player roster.
VOLLEYBALL
Moravia at S-VE (6-1), 6:30 p.m.: The Panthers won, 3-1, when the two teams met in the season opener.
