Tioga County Sports ReportENDICOTT / VESTAL — The Owego 14A and 16U baseball teams will play for Tri County Teener League championships this weekend.
A less-than-promising weather forecast has prompted officials to postpone the championship games from Saturday to Sunday.
The 16U title game will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Arnold Park in Vestal. Owego, the No. 1 seed, comes in with a 13-0 record. Its opponent is Vestal Anderson, which Owego defeated by 10-9 and 11-5 verdicts in two previous games this season.
The 14U title game will be played Sunday at 3 p.m. at Sertoma Field in Endicott. Owego, the second seed with an 11-2 record, faces top-seeded RBI (22-5-2). RBI won their previous meeting, 11-1, breaking open a close game with a 9-run uprising late in the game.
