
With numerous quality season-long performances to choose from, The Sports Reports would like to recognize Delaney Abel of Corning and Brooklyn Moffe of Horseheads as the All-Region Girls “Co-Golfers of the Year.”
Moffe wraps up her career as the honor in her senior year, while Abel was just a 7th-grader this season and is also the All-Region Girls Golf “Newcomer of the Year.”
Moffe led Section IV in scoring average at 42.33, while Abel shot 43.68 on the season. In the postseason Abel was able to win the sectional title and then finish 25th in the state meet. Moffe led her team to an unbeaten regular season, a sectional title and a trip to states.
Horseheads coach Ed Browning helped guide the Blue Raiders to an unbeaten season and a sectional title. He guided the Blue Raiders to states for a second straight season and is the All-Region Girls Golf “Coach of the Year.”

Hannalee Cleveland, Wellsboro: Averaged a 92.89 — second on the Wellsboro’s boys’ team, and ninth in NTL boys league.
Breanne Robinson, Waverly:
Posted a nine-hole scoring average of 47 on the season. She finished
second at the IAC Championships, placed sixth at the Section IV
Championships, and was a state qualifier.
Ava Fairbrother, Horseheads: Posted a 48.5 average for nine holes.
Mady Weigand, Horseheads: Recorded a 49.25 average for nine holes, and was an individual state qualifier;
HONORABLE MENTION
Evelyn Wheeler, Notre Dame: 50.52 average per nine holes.
Molly Creath, Corning: 51.5 average per nine holes;
Lauren Gillette. SVEC: The second-year varsity player placed eighth at the IAC and Section IV tournaments, and took 96th at the state championships.
Paige Perry, Towanda: 109.67 average per 18 holes;
Bryanna Johnson, NP-Mansfield: 116 average per 18 holes;
