COLLEGE TRACK & FIELD: CANDOR GRAD JENSEN PICKS UP NATIONAL TITLE, TWO ALL-AMERICAN HONORS (2023-03-14)

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — Candor grad Lance Jensen garnered All-American honors in two events at the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships Saturday.

Jensen and SUNY Geneseo teammates Jason Rappazzo, Kieran Sheridan and Jacob Miller won the 4x400-meter relay with a new championship meet record of 3:11.64. It marked the Knights’ first 4x400 national title in program history.

The sophomore would also go on to earn All-American status with a 7th-place showing in the 200 with a time of 21.6 seconds.

At the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championships held March 4, Jensen set a new meet record (:21.6) in winning the 200.

Jensen also collected wins in the 200 and the 4x400 relay at the SUNYAC championships as Geneseo won its sixth straight title.
