Tioga County Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — Unbeaten and top-seeded Newark Valley and fourth-seeded Waverly meet for the third time this season as they clash in a Section IV Class B girl basketball semifinal.
The Cardinals, ranked second in the state, will put their spotless 20-0 record on the line at home against the fourth-seeded and 22nd-ranked Wolverines (16-4).
Waverly gave NV a challenge in two previous meetings this season before faltering in the fourth quarter.
The Valley won those games, 45-38 on the road and at home, 58-46.
Tip-off is 6 p.m.
