
CANDOR — Waverly defeated Candor, 5-0, in IAC South girls soccer action here Monday to remain unbeaten (6-0).
Kiley Stillman gave Waverly the only goal it would need about four minutes into the game with an assist going to Kennedy Westbrook.
A little more than 20 minutes later, Lea VanAllen made it 2-0.
Westbrook would get hot-footed, scoring a trio of goals before the half ended.
The first came near the 11-minute mark with an assist going to VanAllen. Westbrook made it 4-0 a couple minutes later, then capped the scoring with an unassisted goal for the hat trick four minutes after that.
Meanwhile, Candor continued to deal with injuries.
“We started with 13 but played down throughout the majority of the game due to injury,” Candor coach Scott Morse said.
The Indians took eight shots, two on goal, while Waverly had 22 shots on goal. The Wolverines held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Kara Morse made 27 saves in goal for Candor and Lea Cole had two for Waverly.
Candor (1-4-1) hosts Elmira Notre Dame Wednesday.
