LITTLE LEAGUE: 5 TIOGA COUNTY TEAMS ALIVE IN OWEGO BRACKET PLAY (2022-07-18)

OWEGO — Five Tioga County teams are still alive in Owego Little League 10U / 12U Tournament bracket play.

10U ‘A’ DIVISION
Owego Cordero went 2-1 and placed second in pool play. Cordero defeated Binghamton Howell, 13-3, in Sunday’s semifinals.

Codero faces Union-Endicott Vassil in the winner’s bracket final Thursday at 5:30 p.m. on Field 1.

10U ‘B’ DIVISION
Nichols-Tioga Ryck went 1-2 in pool play, finishing sixth, but has sprung to life in bracket play.

NTLL exploded for 23 runs as it downed No. 3 Vestal Green Sherba, 23-8, in Saturday’s quarterfinals.

The team continued its assault in Sunday’s semis, blanking No. 2 U-E Wiseman, 13-0.

NTLL will face top-seeded Maine-Endwell Spring Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. on Field 3 in the winner’s bracket final.

10U ‘C’ DIVISION
Owego Robinson went 3-0 in pool play to grab the No. 1 seed.

Robinson opens bracket play against No. 4 M-E Brinsko at 8 p.m. this evening (Monday) on Field 4.

12U ‘B’ DIVISION
Owego Diedrich was one of three teams to go 3-0 in pool play and earned the top seed for bracket play.

The team dumped M-E Davis, 1-1, in its bracket play opener.

Diedrich faces No. 4 Johnson City Lopez Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Field 3.

Over the weekend, Nichols-Tioga Fisher, the fifth seed, dropped its bracket opener to Johnson City Lopez, 12-2, and saw its season end with a 14-8 loss to Vestal Drew Sunday.

12U ‘C’ DIVISION
Owego Russell went 3-0 to snag the top spot in pool play. Russell meets fourth-seeded U-E Golden at 8 p.m. this evening (Monday) on Field 3.
