Tioga County Sports ReportNEWARK VALLEY— Newark Valley has qualified for the Section IV Field Hockey Championships.
The Cardinals (8-6) are seeded sixth in Class C.
Newark Valley will visit third-seeded Greene (9-5) Thursday for a quarterfinal clash. The game will start at 6 p.m.
The semifinals will be held Oct. 26 and the title game will be played Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. at Sidney.
Whitney Point (13-0), ranked 17th in the Northeast Region of the United States by maxfieldhockey.com, is the top seed.
