MORAVIA — Moravia scored a pair of first-period goals to turn back Owego, 2-1, in Section IV Division 3 field hockey action here Tuesday.
The Blue Devils' Grace Becker scored just over 3/12 minutes in to make it a 1-0 contest.
Gabbie Heim would tally the game winner at 5:10 on an assist from Bella Bannerjee.
The Indians would erase the goose egg at 13:05 of the third quarter on Jordan Greeno's unassisted goal.
Both teams would take eight shots on goal and Moravia would hold a 12-6 advantage in penalty corners.
Mya Lunn made six saves in goal for the Indians and Kaylie Miner had three for the Devils.
Owego hosts Marathon at 7 p.m. tonight (10/7) for Senior recognition Night.
