Tioga County Sports ReportENDICOTT — Owego (Morales) wasn't at full strength for its game with Maine-Endwell (Brinsko) in the 12B division quarterfinals at the U-E Little League 12U All-Star Tournament here Thursday and that played a factor in a 9-2 loss.
M-E scored five runs i n the top of the first inning and tacked on three more in the second, and Owego was unable to make up ground.
Maine-Endwell rode a double and five singles to a 5-0 advantage, and a double, three singles and an error helped them build an 8-0 cushion through two innings.
Owego received singles from Payden Morales in the first and third but was unable to move him around the base paths.
After M-E made it 9-0 in the fourth, Owego plated a run in its half of the inning. Dylan Brace doubled to left, moved to third on a passed ball and scored on an error.
Owego pushed one more run across in the sixth when Cayden Adams singled, advanced to second on a passed ball and scored on a Sam Buchsbaum single.
Morales picked up two of Owego's five hits. Adams, Brace and Buchsbaum had the others.
