NEWARK VALLEY — Newark Valley's Megan Felicetti garnered fourth-place honors in third singles competition at the IAC Tennis Championships here Monday.

Felicetti won her quarterfinal match against Watkins Glen's Noah Gardner, 6-1, 6-1.

She faced Edison's Ben Doland in the semifinals, falling 6-2, 6-0. Doland went on to win the title.

Felicetti met Elmira Notre Dame's Renata Russo in the third-place match, dropping a 6-2, 6-3 decision.

At first singles, Mackenna Nechwedowich fell to eventual runner-up Nate Amberg of Edison, 6-2, 6-3.

In second singles action, Kelsey Kerns lost to Watkins Glen's Tim Clifford, 6-2, 6-2. Clifford placed second.

At fourth singles, Alannah Deer dropped a 6-3, 6-3 verdict to George Fearon of Union Springs. Fearon went on to take fourth.

In NV's first doubles match Tatiana Tarbox and Clara McCloskey lost to Jaedyn Everhart and Julia Wright from Trumansburg, 6-0, 6-4.

In doubles novice, Katie Berghorn and Parisot opened with a 6-0 win over Union Springs' Casler and Mach. In the quarters, they bested WG's Victoria Bantin and Trinity Bantin, 6-2. They would bow out in the semis to Barchet and Timofeef (no score reported)
