Tioga County Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — IAC championships in four events take center stage today.
BOYS GOLF
IAC Large School championships at Soaring Eagles Golf Course (Horseheads), 9 a.m.: SVEC, Newark Valley and Waverly will compete against the other Large School teams for top honors. The Eagles come in following an unbeaten regular season.
BOYS TENNIS
IAC championships at Newark Valley, 9 a.m.: The host Cardinals, along with Waverly and seven other teams, will battle for league supremacy.
GIRLS GOLF
IAC championship at Tomasso’s Golf Course (Waverly), 9 a.m.: Newark Valley and SVEC, as well as defending champion Waverly, are among the teams competing for the title.
GIRLS TRACK & FIELD
IAC championships at Trumansburg, 5 p.m.: Candor, S-VE and Newark Valley, as well as Tioga and Waverly and the league's other South and North division teams will participate. Candor, S-VE and Tioga will compete for Small School honors while NV and Waverly will vie for Large School titles.
