ELMIRA HEIGHTS — Six players hit for double digits as Owego rolled past Edison, 92-28, in IAC action here Monday.
Mason Rieg led the charge, putting up 16 points as the Indians improved to 3-0. He scored half his points in the first quarter as Owego jumped out to a 27-6 lead.
Drew Tavelli connected for 14 points, nailing down a trio of baskets in the final period.
Brad Palmer contributed three buckets in the opening frame and finished the night with a dozen points.
Nick Wasyln accounted for 11 points while Joe Bangel and Hunter Ellis added 10 apiece.
John Bangel scored nine points, Kaden Wheeland drained a 3-pointer, Ryan Pryor converted a 3-point play and Leo Rodriguez added a field goal in the second quarter.
Owego built a 49-12 cushion at intermission and led 71-24 heading into the final frame.
Indian coach Chris Evans said it was a good experience for everyone to play.
"We were very unselfish and our level of play at both ends never got ragged or ugly — which is easy to do in a game like this," he said.
Jeremiah Parker paced the Spartans (0-3) for the third straight game, scoring nine points.
The Indians visit Newark Valley (0-1) Saturday at 11 a.m.
