STAC CROSS COUNTRY: MONELL, STEWART LEAD OWEGO AT CONWICKE / STOCK INVITE (2019-10-07)

VESTAL — Hannah Monell placed 20th to lead the Owego girls and Jayce Stewart finished 31st to lead the Indian boys at the Conwicke-Stock Invitational Friday.

GIRLS
Monell recorded a time of 22:32.9 in the Varsity Large School race. Chelsey Corey took 26th in 23:25.9, Mary-Carol Hoover finished 30th with a 23:47.9 and Alyssa Stephens rounded out the scoring in 33rd, clocking 24:00.2.

Also competing for Owego were Ella Rieg (40th, 25:10.4), Amber Neumeth (48th, 26:17.9), Alex Anderson (53rd, 27:06.4), Mariah Salter (56th, 27:37), Kat Gusse (58th, 27:55.5), Ryleigh Williams (64th, 32:15.9) and Macey Cunningham (65th, 32:35.4).

Horseheads won the team title with 30 points and Owego was fifth with 108. 

The Blue Devils' Samantha Woodworth was the individual winner with a time of 18:55.

BOYS
In the Varsity Large School competition, Stewart posted a time of 19:13 for the Indians. Dylan Pitcher was 35th with a 19:23.8, Gavin Bowers finished 37th in 19:26.5, Nick Maslin took 46th with a 19:48, and Justin Brown finished off the team scoring in 50th at 20:05.8.

Joey Criscitello placed 51st with a time of 20:10.9.

Elmira won the meet with 39 points and the Indians were eighth with 199.

Windsor's Josh Stone was the individual champ with a 15:42.2.
