Tioga County Sports ReportBINGHAMTON — Owego senior Abigail McHugh placed first in the Female 20 and Under age group at the 2026 Syracuse Half Marathon on Sunday.
The senior recorded a time of 1:31:06, besting 80 other runners in her division. She placed 23rd out of 1,352 female competitors and 135th in a combined field of 2,462 runners.
McHugh lowered her time from last year by eight minutes and 25 seconds. She is now focused on setting some personal records in outdoor track. The River Hawks open the season Saturday at the Rotary Relays at Chenango Forks.
