CANDOR — Jakobe Foster recorded a double-double and three of his teammates scored in double figures as Candor cruised to a 74-26 victory over Odessa-Montour in IAC South Small School boys basketball action here Tuesday.
Foster netted 10 points in a 28-2 first-quarter barrage while Ben Sheridan added eight more, knocking down a pair of 3-pointers in the process.
Teagan Kwiatkowski contributed two threes in the second period and had eight points as the Coyotes extended their lead to 47-13 at halftime.
Joining the twin treys club was Matthew Smith, who had six points as Candor edged the Grizzlies, 11-10, in the third quarter.
Four players scored three points apiece, and two others added two each as the Coyotes closed out the game with a 16-3 fourth-quarter run.
Foster finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, six steals and one blocked shot. Smith had 13 points, an assist, a steal and a rebound; Kwiatkowski added 11 points, a steal and a rebound; and Sheridan pitched in with 10 points, three boards, two assists and two steals.
Ryan Huizinga contributed nine points, five boards, two assists and two steals; Kellen Williamson recorded six points, seven boards, a steal and an assist; Kyron O’Dell had four points, three rebounds, a steal and an assist; Carter Edwards and James Pritchard added a 3-pointer and one rebound apiece; and Kyle Jantz grabbed two rebounds.
Candor was without starter Donald Makie.
Aaron Sutton led the Grizzlies with eight points.
The Coyotes (15-3) moved up two spots to No. 12 in this week’s Class C state rankings.
