SECTION IV INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: CANDOR’S AMAN WINS CLASS SECTIONAL DASH (2026-02-09)

ITHACA — Candor sprinter Logan Aman won the 55-meter dash title at the Section IV Class C/D Indoor Track & Field Championships held at Cornell University’s Barton Hall Saturday.

The Coyotes’ senior standout posted a time of 6.54 seconds, defeating 40 other C/D runners. He also finished ahead of the 20 entrants from Class A/B.

BOYS
Aman was also the runner-up in the 300 (6th overall), clocking 36.78 seconds. He was just two-tenths of a second behind winner Keegan Waltz of Oxford.

Charlie Hilbert placed sixth in the long jump, leaping 19-8 ½. He was ninth overall.

Jeremiah Gloss was 12th in the 600 with a time of 1:52.25 and Cecil McFall took 19th in 1:57.16.

Rylan Cruz placed 18th in the shot put with a heave of 32-11 ½.

The 4x200 relay of McFall, Hilbert, Cruz and Gloss was eighth with a time of 1:52.11.

GIRLS
Lindsey Morse was the runner-up in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.08 seconds. She trailed Chenango Valley’s Delaney Walters by a mere 5/100ths of a second and was third overall.

Morse added a ninth-place effort in the 55-meter dash, clocking 7.96 seconds.

Zoey Lang claimed 8th-place honors in the 1,000 with a time of 3:34.17 and was 18th overall.

The 4x200 relay of Lang, Hayden Gehres, Gwen Shaw and Sophia Delmage finished ninth in 2:16.85.
