IAC BOYS BASKETBALL: S-VE FALLS TO STATE-RANKED MORAVIA (2026-01-31)

MORAVIA — State-ranked Moravia showed its prowess, riding a 36-2 first-quarter run to an 84-38 crossover victory in IAC Small School boys basketball action here Friday evening.

Dillon Palmer scored 18 of his game-high 24 points and Carson Andrews added 12 of his 18 in the opening frame for the Blue Devils, ranked 13th in Class C.

The Panthers narrowed the gap to 45-17 in the second period as Luukas Carling hit for six points, Keith Hills added four points and Cameron Sindquist knocked down a 3-pointer.

The Devils pumped out 29 points to S-VE’s nine in the third quarter behind nine points from Zach Szachta, seven from Palmer and six by Andrews.

Moravia connected for 10 3-pointers on the night, including three by Palmer and two each from Andrews and Szachra, the latter of whom added 10 points to the win.

Carling led S-VE with 17 points, Sundquist had eight, including a pair of treys, Hills added six, Nick Oakes chipped in with five (one 3-pointer) and Tyler Tufford tacked on two points.

S-VE visits Candor on Tuesday.
