DRYDEN — The Spencer-Van Etten / Candor wrestling team closed out the regular season with a 36-24 victory over DRyden in IAC action here Wednesday.
There were just five contested matches, of which the Purple Lions won three, but SVEC received four of five forfeit victories.
Picking up wins for the Eagles in contested matches were Kamren Westbrook, who decked Liam Kailbourne in 50 seconds in their 138 pound bout, and Korbin Brenza, who dispatched Kolton Nash in 2:29.
Accepting forfeits for SVEC were Kollen Westbrook (144), Gabe Benjamin (150), Kaden Sims (190) and Connor Breed (215).
SVEC will compete in the IAC championships Saturday at watkins Glen.
