STAC BOWLING: HOT O’HARA LEADS OWEGO BOYS TO SWEEP OF FORKS; GIRLS EARN FIRST WIN (2026-01-21)

OWEGO — Evan O’Hara carried the hot hand at Owego Bowl on Wednesday, rolling a 707 series to lead Owego to a 5-0 victory over Chenango Forks in STAC boys bowling action. The River Hawks’ girls team came away with their first win of the season, downing the Blue Devils, 4-1.

BOYS
Owego 5, CF 0
O’Hara opened with a 234, followed by a 215 and 258 to lead the way. Connor Kotski added games of 211 and 213 to finish with a 619 series. Grayson Quick shot a 205-542 and Scott Reigle had a 161-453.

Ari Lemmon bowled two games with a high of 204 and Nick Youles tacked on a 106 game.

Landon Butenko paced Forks with a 255-696.

The River Hawks won by scores of 924-879, 863-835 and 1001-970, to take the total pinfall, 2788-2684.

GIRLS
Owego 4, CF 1
The River Hawks picked up their first point with a 579-538 win in the opening game. Forks came back to take game two, 529-495, but Owego took the final game, 572-535, giving them the total pinfall, 1646-1602.

Alaina Anschutz took top honors with a 195-501. Americus Booker chipped in with a 114-313, Sophiarose Winters added a 120-302 and Madison Kinney had a 110-258. Emma Nixon added a high game of 99 and Shatha Alotaibi tacked on a 95.

Mackenzie Poyneer led the Blue Devils with a 164-436.

JV BOYS
Owego 4, CF 1
Owego won by scores of 635-550 and 588-539, and took the total pinfall, 1822-1698. The Blue Devils avoided a sweep by winning game three, 607-599.

Cameron McGowan led the River Hawks with a 174-457, John Lillie shot a 148-365, Logan Rosenberger had a 126-356 and Coeburn Locke rolled a 124-335.

Logan Vizina added a 121 game and Cameron Capellie added a 97.
