Tioga County Sports ReportSPENCER — Lauren Gillette scored nearly half of her game-high 15 points in the third quarter as Spencer-Van Etten pulled away from Odessa-Montour for a 31-21 victory in IAC South Small School girls basketball action here Tuesday.
The Panthers were clinging to a 13-12 lead coming out of halftime when Gillette pumped out seven points. Trinity Dashler knocked down a 3-pointer, and Kaidince Root and Kaylee Kastenhuber added three and two points, respectively.
Gillette also contributed six points, six rebounds and an assist to her stat sheet. Dashler scored all seven of her points in the second half surge, and she also had three rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Kastenhuber recorded five points, five rebounds and two steals; Root had five points; Amani Diboun added five rebounds and an assist; Kendall Gentile pitched in with three boards and two steals; and Maddie Ellison grabbed a pair of rebounds.
The Grizzlies were led by Antes, who posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
