INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: CANDOR’S AMAN CONTINUES TO DOMINATE, MORSE HURDLES TO VICTORY (2026-01-11)

CORTLAND — Candor’s Logan Aman continued to dominate the 55-meter dash while the Coyotes’ Lindsey Morse added a victory in the 55 hurdles at the Winter Classic held at SUNY Cortland Saturday.

Aman won his fifth 55 title — in five meets — with a time of 6.51 seconds, defeating 31 other sprinters by .18 seconds or more. He tacked on a win in the 200, clocking 23.72 seconds to best 35 other competitors. By more than half a second.

Meanwhile, Morse took the hurdles title in 9.14 seconds, 67/100ths of a second faster than any other challenger in a field of 18 hurdlers.

She added a 12th-place finish in the long jump, leaping 12 feet even.

The girls sprint medley relay finished fourth with a time of 5:19.04 and the boys sprint medley relay took sixth in 4:18.48.

In the boys meet, Rylan Cruz finished in the top 10 in the shot put with an 8th-place heave of 32 feet, 6 inches.

Zoey Lang had a pair of top-20 showings for the girls, placing 12th in the 800 with a time of 3:09.81 and 14th in the 400 in 1:15.66.

In the boys meet, Flint Wilson was 17th in the 400 at 1:02.75 and Declan Shaw was 18th in the 55 dash in 7.73 seconds. Jeremiah Gloss contributed a pair of top-20 efforts, placing 18th in 1600 with a time of 5:53.3 and 20th in the 800, clocking 2:36.19.

Candor heads to Ithaca College on Friday for the Hurley Invitational.
