IAC BOWLING: CANDOR SPLITS WITH WATKINS GLEN (2026-01-08)

OWEGO — The Candor and Watkins Glen bowling teams split an IAC match held at Owego Bowl here Thursday. The lady Coyotes won by a 4-0 score while the boys fell, 3-1.

GIRLS
Candor 4, Watkins Glen 0
The Coyotes won the total pinfall, 2178-1207 and recorded an impressive second game score of 800. They won the first game, 637-378, the second, 800-422, and the third, 741-407.

Calli Marsh led the way with a 193-509. Allison Johnston rolled a 170-428 and Raina Schneider-Kern shot a 170-412.

Zoe Travis contributed a 157-387, Kyrsten Jackson had a 135-372 and Makenna Nixon added a 120-370.

The Lake Hawks, who had just four bowlers, were paced by Faith White with a 133-388.

Teresa Kern registered a 125-325 as an exhibition bowler.

BOYS
Watkins Glen 3, Candor 1
Despite having just four bowlers in the lineup, the Coyotes took the opening game, 718-645. Watkins Glen would take the next two, 810-710 and 751-631. The Lake Hawks would win the total pinfall, 2266-2059.

Candor’s Malcolm Jackson had a 641 series which included games of 246 and 210. Conner Kellogg shot 179-501, Stanler Winnick rolled a 212-494 and Riley Bauer tacked on a 143-423.

For Watkins Glen, Kristofer Burke had a 219-522 and Brett Cullen-Pike added a 191-505.

Candor heads to Lansing on Monday.
