Tioga County Sports ReportONEONTA — Owego posted a 2-3 record to place fourth at the STAC Girls Wrestling Division Duals here Wednesday.
The River Hawks defeated Johnson City, 30-10, and Susquehanna Valley, 30-25, while dropping a 28-26 heartbreaker to Windsor and falling to Oneonta, 30-19, both setbacks due to forfeits as Owego’s lineup included just eight wrestlers, The River Hawks also lost to eventual champion Chenango Forks, 40-15.
STAC champion Ashlee Crawford-Bauer posted a 5-0 record at 114 pounds with four falls and a forfeit to her credit.
Carissa Chandler (132), Lauren Kotski (138) and RaeAnn Craft (145) all went 4-1.
Chandler pinned three opponents and received one forfeit. Her loss came against Forks’ Tori Reh, a two-time Section IV place-winner and the STAC runner-up at 138.
Kotski pinned two opponents and accepted two forfeits. Her loss came against Oneonta’s Payton Little, a two-time Section IV finalist and STAC runner-up.
A three-time Section IV and STAC champion, Craft was involved in one of the tournament’s showcase bouts when she faced Windsor standout Delaney Dixon, a two-time Section IV and STAC champion.
Dixon, a state runner-up last season, prevailed, 8-4, and is now 20-0 on the season (70-6 career). Craft, who saw her 2024-25 season cut short by an injury, is now 15-1 on the season and 58-8 in girls competition (70-23 overall).
The River Hawks’ Lucy Purtell (107) went 3-2 with a fall and two forfeits while Michaela Daly (120) and Izzy Taylor (165/185) won two bouts each. Daly had two pins, and Taylor added one fall and one forfeit.
Chenango Valley and Waverly did not participate.
Owego will compete in the Southern Tier Memorial Friday and Saturday at the LECOM Events Center in Elmira. Craft is seeded third at 138 and Crawford-Bauer is No.9 at 114.
