Tioga County Sports ReportSPENCER — S-VE had seven players earn IAC South Small School all-star recognition, including first-teamers senior Lauren Gillette and junior Amani Diboun, in recent voting by the division's coaches.
Gillette was also named a fourth-team Class C all-state performer.
Senior Andy Wallace, junior Kelsea Swayze and sophomore Madison Ashby were named second-team divisional all-stars, while junior Trinity Dashler and freshman Elliana Middlebrook received honorable mention kudos.
Candor senior Nicola Soper and junior Emmi Makie were named co-divisional MVPs.
FIRST TEAM
Lauren Gillette, senior, S-VE: A force in middle, Gillette led the Panthers with a school-record 243 kills, and well as 33 blocks. She also had 137 service points, including 41 aces, 78 digs and four setter assists.
Gillette also graduates as the program's leader in career kills with 416.
Amani Diboun, junior, S-VE: Diboun led S-V in digs with a school-record 321, including a school-record 34 in a match against Newfield. She also had 100 points, including 22 aces, 21 kills, and 18 assists.
Diboun also now holds the career record for digs with 480.
SECOND TEAM
Andy Wallace, senior, S-VE: Wallace led S-VE with a school-record 271 service points, including 57 aces. She was second on the team with 180 digs, and also had 52 kills and four assists.
Wallace also holds the career record with 422 points.
Kelsea Swayze, junior, S-VE: Swayze led the Panthers with a school-record 495 assists. She also had 110 points, including 24 aces, 133 digs, and 22 kills.
Madison Ashby, sophomore, S-VE: Ashby had 206 points, including a team-leading 77 aces, as well as 72 kills, 102 digs and four assists.
Honorable Mention
Trinity Dashler, junior, S-VE: Dashler had 115 points, including 36 aces, 98 kills (second on the team), six blocks, and 106 digs.
Elliana Middlebrook, freshman, S-VE: Middlebrook had 58 points, including nine aces, 59 kills, five blocks, and 53 digs.
