BINGHAMTON — Chenango Valley finished strong to pull out a 3-2 win over Owego here Monday afternoon in STAC boys bowling action, while the Lady River Hawks dropped a 5-0 decision.
BOYS
Chenango Valley 3, Owego 2
The River Hawks won the first two games by scores of 901-868 and 894-870, but the Warriors won the third game 1,008-874 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,746 to 2,669.
Evan O'Hara led Owego with a match-high 692 series on games of 222, 234, and 236, and Grayson Quick shot a 557.
Scott Reigle rolled a 413, and Connor Kotski added a 410 for the River Hawks, and Arind Lemmon had games of 159 and 118, and Cameron McGowan tacked on a 133.
Nate Adams led CV with a 633, and Grady Banovic added a 613.

Chenango Valley 5, Owego 0
CV won the total-pinfall points by a count of 2,185 to 1,557.
Elaina Anschultz led Owego with a 391 series, while Madison Kinney shot a 357, Sophia Winters rolled a 342, Americus Booker added a 253, and Emma Dixon tacked on a 214.
Bella Rose Nelson led CV with a 545, and Abby Herceg added a 515.
Owego returns to action Wednesday at home against Susquehanna Valley.
