Tioga County Sports ReportMARATHON — Madelyn Ellison highlighted the Spencer-Van Etten effort at the IAC Cross Country Championships here Wednesday, placing 13th in the varsity girls race.
Varsity Girls
Madelyn Ellison recorded a time of 23:24.8 to lead a trio of lady Panthers.
Grace Bishop placed 60th with a time of 30:29.6 and Sofae Cook was 61st in 30:31.
Varsity Boys
S-VE was led by Tristan Jennings, who took 63rd in 22:51, and Kenric Beach was 68th with a 23:13.3.
Anthony Wintermute was 80th, clocking 24:47.2, William Horyczun was 81st with a 24:55.5 and Caleb Paucke came in 83rd in 25:57.2.
Kaiden Shock ran a non-scoring 84th (25:57.9).
Modified Boys
Brandon Jennings competed for the Panthers and posted a fifth-place time of 10:47.5.
Next up are the Section IV championships at Chenango Valley State Park on Nov. 6.
