Tioga County Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — The Section IV football regular season draws to a close this weekend, while the other sports two events are postseason matches, including SVEC's trip to powerhouse Whitney Point for the Section IV field hockey playoffs.
There are just five events on this week's docket.
The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:
MONDAY (1)
• Owego travels to Ithaca for the STAC volleyball championships.
TUESDAY (0)
• SVEC field hockey travels to top-seeded Whitney Point for a Section IV, Class C semi-final match-up.
WEDNESDAY (1)
• Newark Valley, S-VE, and Candor will be in action at the IAC Cross Country Championships at Marathon's Appleby Elementary School course.
THURSDAY (0)

FRIDAY (1)
• SVEC football hits the road to Tioga in need of a win to qualify for the Class D playoffs.
SATURDAY (2)
• Owego football puts a wrap on the regular-season with a home matinee against Horseheads.
• Newark Valley is on the road at Groton in the regular-season football finale.
