Tioga County Sports ReportSVEC senior Charlie Hilbert made the most of limited carries, and SVEC 7th-grader Maddy Gentile had the best game of her young career. They are the Tioga County Sports Report / Guthrie Community Credit Union "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Oct. 18.
SVEC'S HILBERT NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION BOYS 'ATHLETE OF THE WEEK'
Hilbert rushed for 105 yards and two TDs on just five carries in SVEC's 48-19 win over over Newark Valley.
Hilbert scored on runs of 5 and 76 yards for the Eagles.
He also intercepted a pass and returned it 18 yards to the Newark Valley 9, to set up another SVEC score.

Gentile scored five goals and had one assist to lead SVEC to a pair of wins on the week.
Gentile four goals in an 8-0 win over Newark Valley on Tuesday. She followed it up with one goal and one assist in a 3-1 win over Sidney Thursday.
