Tioga County Sports ReportTIOGA CENTER — Candor finished second in its pool to advance to bracket play, but lost in the semifinals to eventual champion Corning here Saturday at the annual Tioga JV Volleyball Tournament.
Ithaca won Pool 1 with a 7-1 record, while Candor was 5-3, Tioga and U-E were each 4-4, and Delhi posted an 0-8 mark.
Corning was perfect at 8-0 in pool play, while runner-up Lansing was 6-2, Waverly was 4-4, Dryden was 2-6, and Unatego was 0-8.
In the semifinals, Ithaca topped Lansing, 25-15, and Corning rolled over Candor, 25-10.
Corning also rolled in the finals, topping Ithaca, 25-10.
